Stamping Away 2014

Hello friends, I'm coming back from a wonderful weekend away with crafting friends. Amy Kolling and Laurie Willison organized the most incredible weekend away for us and I loved it.  Loved it, needed it, loved it and it was all around perfect. We did a card swap with the group and this was my entry for the card swap.  It was awesome to come home with 15 different cards from these talented ladies.  Laurie and Amy were the only friends I had met prior to going away.  It was awesome to meet all of these ladies in person (I'll list them out tomorrow!).

When I was on my way on Friday, I downloaded the Project Life App. is so amazing.  I created six layouts in the airport on the way home in about 45 minutes. Talk about life changing. I think this is how I'll be doing all my pages from here on out.
The house where we stayed were incredible and Amy/Laurie out did themselves with swag bags for all of us and tons of fabulous snacks (let's just say I don't need to get on the scale for a while).
The pictures above show our stamping space.  Plenty of room for all of us; stations for the shoe box swap, tutorials in the kitchen from Eva, line dancing on Saturday night (Lindsey and Heather) and Laura Pryor from Lil Inkers is seriously won't of the sweetest and most hilarious ladies I've ever met. We almost left her in the house when we went to dinner on Friday night. She was in the bathroom and didn't hear us call for her. Her face when she came out the car was hilarious.

And here are pictures from the amazing house where we stayed.  Many of these pictures are from Laurie and Nichole.  We could have spent the whole weekend taking pictures of the house!  To say I had a fabulous time would be a huge understatement.  It was amazing.  A big thanks to Laurie and Amy.  I'll be back tomorrow with three more layouts and a picture of the whole crew.

Festive Friday Reminder: Merry Christmas

Popping in with a reminder for Festive Friday.  I love pink for a Christmas color and used this as my base for my card, but decided to add a touch of color to my design. A simple scene with a few Christmas trees.  I love the PaperSmooches dies that create the soft snowy looking hill for the trees.

How are you inspired?  Please pop on over to Festive Friday and play along with us!

Time Out Reminder: Dream

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration at Time Out.  Similar to my card last week, I was inspired by the word dream.  I used PaperSmooches dies to create a city scene along with a retired sentiment from a Craft's Meow set.  I love the sentiment for a graduation card.

For the Happy Couple

My in-laws celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary last week. My mother-in-law loves everything blue so I decided to make blue the primary color on the card.  When I was making the card, I had 30 minutes before I had to leave for dinner with our family and to give my in-laws the card.  I've never made a shaker card before but decided to use some of the sequins that never seem to fit on the front of my card! was a bit of a crazy time making the card.  At first I was going to make the shaker card with a heart. Let's just say I have about five messed up hearts where I tried to do this on my Cricut.  I then moved onto this scalloped frame from Verve.  At first I adhered the foam tape before I adhered the acetate...try again!  So...about the tenth time was the charm...and we were a little late for dinner :)

Hope you like it and that you're week is zooming by!

Happy Birthday Bev!

It's a few days of celebrating here on the old blog. Yesterday we celebrated the arrival of Bev's beautiful boys (Uniko Studio Bev) and today we're celebrating Bev's (Happy Dance Bev) birthday.  What a great week of celebrations!  I simply adore Bev.  Her positive outlook on life leaves you with a smile every time you visit her blog.  And the added bonus is you get to see her gorgeous creations as well.  Bev's love for her family shines through on her blog so I'm sure she's being spoiled today (as she deserves).  Who doesn't love a bit of spoiling on their birthday?!

If you'd link to play along, please link your birthday card up for Bev over on Ardyth's Blog. Darnell and Ardyth are fabulous hosts today to celebrate Bev.  A big thank you to the two of them for organizing us for Bev!  Happy happy birthday my dear Bev! I'm thankful for your friendship.

I am also linking this up to the Verve Anniversary Release Blog Hop.  Loving my new goodies!

Double the Joy: Welcome Ben & Josh!

The amazingly talented Bev (owner of Uniko Studios) welcomed her identical twin boys into this world a couple of weeks ago. They look absolutely beautiful and we're all so happy that they arrived safe and sound.

The team at Time Out wanted to celebrate Bev's double exciting news by hosting an extra challenge in Bev's honor. The challenge is "Double the Joy":  make two of anything. I decided to use the challenge to make a baby card for Bev's little ones.

We sure hope we come play along with us and be sure to stop by and wish Bev lots of love on the arrival of her beautiful boys:  Ben & Josh. The Time Out Team will be offering a 20 £ voucher to Uniko Studio   Please come play along...the winner will be chosen via

Festive Friday: Merry Christmas

How about all the pink, silver and pearls in the inspiration photo above.  There are about 100 things that could inspire you for our challenge at Festive Friday.  I was inspired by the colors as well as the detailed patterns on many of the ornaments.  The poinsettia leaves are heat embossed on vellum. They are Verve and the detail is truly fabulous. A few more embellishments were added to finish off the design.
