Love You Mum {and Ethan's Home Run Derby}

Happy Monday my friends. I'm happy to be home after a week away for a business trip and ending the week with a ton of fun at Pat's cousin's wedding.  Before I left, I made a card for my mum who stayed with our boys over the weekend.  I love that the Verve stamps have both mum and nana stamps which are perfect for her.  This sentiment says it all.  This card is being entered in the Viva La Verve Sketch.

I also wanted to share what we were up to several weeks ago.  For those of you have been been on my blog for a while, you know that a teenager in our community was struck by lightning in June 2013.  Last year, our family helped with a fundraiser to benefit Ethan for his long term care.  Last year, Ethan was in the hospital and unable to attend.  We had the second annual Ethan Kadish Home Run Derby.  It was a beautiful day and we were so thankful Ethan was able to attend.  Our home family along with so many fabulous members of our community were there to support Ethan.

PaperSmooches: Christmas Blessings

Hello there and welcome to this week's PaperSmooches Sparks challenge.  It's an Anything Goes week which I always love.  I went ultra CAS this week using new stamps from September's release:  Blessed Christmas along with the coordinating dies.  I did a touch of coloring which isn't normal from me. I find neutral colors easier to color than regular colors.  Love how the chevron paper grounds the design.

Please be sure to stop by the other design team members blogs to check out their fabulous creations.

And of course, we'd love to see you play along. You'll have until Saturday at 11:59 PST to join along.   Hop on over to the PaperSmooches Sparks blog to play along with us!

Festive Friday: Merry Christmas

Happy Friday my friends.  Pat and I are in Washington DC this weekend to celebrate his cousin Amy's wedding. We're so happy for her and absolutely love catching up with his whole family. We are so blessed too that my mum is staying with the boys.

I loved the crisp red/white lines and you can see how I was inspired.

Be sure to pop on over to the Festive Friday blog where I have no doubt you'll be inspired. I look forward to being inspired by your creations.

Time Out Reminder: Grateful for You

Popping back in with a reminder card for Time Out.  Don't you just love the amazing inspiration card from  Heather?  Last week I used distress inks, but this week I went for crisper stamped images and dies.  Love the crisp fall colors!

Below is another reminder to check out Heather's card!

We love seeing how you are inspired by the challenge at Time Out.  Be sure to pop on over and check out the design team's creations and play along with us.  You will not be disappointed!

Thoughts & Prayers {and Marcel's Birthday Party}

It has been way too long since I played along with a Runway Inspired challenge.  I put my new Verve stamps to use.  Loved all the white space and the combination of gray/black and yellow.  I think the inspiration speaks for itself.

Mentioned on Monday that there is lots to share this week!  Below are pictures from Marcel's birthday party. I'm continuing to put the Project Life app to good use. These layouts have already been printed and are waiting to make it into Marcel's scrapbook.

Marcel wanted a pinata! Everyone had to clear out of the way so that they didn't get hit!
And cake time...the cake inspired by his birthdate (10-3) and his age of 9.  Love that he was clever enough to think of that when he and Pat ordered the cake.
And the home run derby in the backyard!

I Love You {and Marcel's Up Stander Award}

I hope if you had a long weekend that you're easing back into the work week.  Popping in to share a card for the The Cutting Edge challenge.  Loved the color combo on Amy's inspiration card.  I played along with some Verve die cut hearts and a Lil Inker cover die template.  This card is for my hubby since I left home on Sunday and won't see him until Friday afternoon.

Before I go I wanted to share a few pictures of Marcel. A couple of weeks ago he was recognized at halftime of the varsity football game for being recognized as an "Up Stander".  A friend at school that stands up for friends that need a little help. So proud of this little guy for being recognized as being a great friend along with about 10 other kids from the school across all grades.  His smile says it all and it was extra special that Nana and PopPop came along too to see him get his award.

Thinking of You {and Homecoming Pics}

Hello there and happy Monday. I traveling for work this week and then finish the week in Washington DC for a family wedding, but I have lots to share on the blog this week.  First up is a card for CAS(E) this Sketch.  I immediately thought of leaves when I saw the sketch.  Love that my camera captured the bright, vibrant colors of the inks.

I also wanted to share pictures of Ryan from his homecoming dance this week. He and his friend, Alyssa, had a great time at the dance.  Here are a few pre-dance pictures.  First up, love that they brought their sunglasses. They are laughing in this picture...Alyssa was trying to figure out what to do with her hands because she didn't have any pockets.

A few serious ones together.  I think they both looking stunning.

And there whole group of friends...24 of them headed out for dinner together.  A good looking crew.
Ryan and his great friend, Maddie. The eye roll cracks me up.  The next picture he has a huge smile on his face.
Ryan/Alyssa with two other couples.  The three guys have formed a band together.

Here's the same crew again...the guy band is called G3nerations and the girls are Destruction. Love these kids.
